Auro Hotels announces Cristian Chitu as director of food and beverage outlet services

Auro Hotels announced the appointment of Cristian Chitu as director of food and beverage outlet services of AC Hotel by Marriott Greenville Downtown. Chitu brings over a decade of management experience to this role, where he will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage services for the hotel and ensuring guests enjoy superior customer service. He will additionally collaborate with Executive Chef Coppola on menu development and implementation and work with the special events team on banquet and catering services.

As Director of Food and Beverage Outlet Services, Chitu will oversee food and beverage services for AC Hotel Greenville Downtown and the multiple restaurants and bars that call the hotel home, which are Paloma and AC Kitchen. Set to open later this spring and summer are the Juniper rooftop, The Secret Garden, Fire Box, The Press Room and Social Burger. The hotel also offers nearly 10,000 square feet of dedicated space for meetings and events and an additional 19,000 square feet of space will be available through rental of the food and beverage outlets.

Chitu comes to the AC Hotel Greenville Downtown most recently from the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, Ohio where he served as director of food & beverage for event services. In this role he supervised banquet operations in more than 70,000 square feet of meeting space and directed a team of more than 50 service professionals. Prior, Chitu worked as director of restaurants at the Four Diamond AAA approved luxury resort, The Greenbrier, in White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia. At The Greenbrier, Chitu supervised and managed all food and beverage outlets within the luxury resort. Chitu’s experience also includes receiving his sommelier certificate from The Court of Masters Sommeliers.
