Author Speaks at Two Columbia-Area Rotary Clubs

COLUMBIA, SC – Andra Watkins, author of the To Live Forever: An Afterlife Journey of Meriwether Lewis, addresses two Columbia-area Rotary Clubs this week. Both the Rotary Club of Lake Murray-Irmo and the Rotary Club of Chapin-Sunrise invited Watkins to speak about her genre-bending novel and her historic 444-mile hike of the Natchez Trace, an ancient road between Natchez, MS and Nashville, TN.

Cover for websiteWatkins is the only living person to follow the path of the pioneers, recreating their month-long walk in fifteen-mile daily increments. Her talk shares the ups and downs of a solitary feat of endurance and the gift of spending time with he aging parents near the end of their lives.
