Auxiliary American Legion Unit 25 Supports Education and American Values

Following the spirit of Veterans helping Veterans and their families, Auxiliary American Legion Unit 25 Legionnaires combined support and efforts to donate $50 for tuition costs to Palmetto Girls State and the Law Enforcement Academy.
“We are so happy that our members support each other,” said Unit 25 President Donna King, “as well as the effort to send young high school age women to learn leadership, organizational and communication skills, peer socialization, and a great dose of Americanism.”
While members looked on, Auxiliary Legionnaires Denise Harter and Artist-in-Residence Jeanette Sain combined the material costs and artist’s commission to donate a $50 check and offer it to President King.
The next Auxiliary meeting is February 22, 5:30 PM, at the Veterans Affairs Office, 105 Bolt Drive (behind Bojangles), Laurens, SC. “Everyone is welcome to come check us out!” said King.
