Award-Winning Film to Premiere in Columbia in Support of the Family Shelter

COLUMBIA, SC – November 17, 2008 – Starring John Leguizamo, nominated for four Imagen Awards, and winner of the Humanitas Prize- Best Sundance Feature Film, Where God Left His Shoes, will be coming to the Nickelodeon Theatre in Columbia on Sunday, November 23, 2008 to help raise money for the Family Shelter.

The movie will be shown at 3:00pm and 6:00pm with a wine and cheese reception in between the screenings. All proceeds will benefit the Family Shelter, the only shelter in the Midlands area exclusively for homeless families with children. The Family Shelter is excited to partner with Vulcan Productions and the Nickelodeon Theatre. Tickets are available now online and by phone.

Established in 1979, Family Shelter provides emergency shelter, resources, and hope to homeless children and their families, so that they can transition to permanent housing and lead stable and productive lives.
