Bad Bitches Of Charleston, Pop Up Dinner Series By All Female Hospitality Team

April 16, 2015

On Sunday, April 26th, the Bad Bitches of Charleston will present their first pop up dinner series, themed 1950’s: Era of the American Matriarch, at Butcher & Bee at 6pm. Guests will enjoy a five course dinner and cocktail punch, but are also encouraged to bring their own wine or spirit of choice. Boys are also allowed, just not in the kitchen.

This dinner is the first in a series of six events taking guests on a journey from the 1950s to present day, highlighting influential women, cuisine and cocktails from each decade. “This dinner series will have a completely different aesthetic from any other existing local event in Charleston. The servers will be in period attire, the music will be hand selected according to the generation, and diners will leave with more knowledge of women’s impact on cuisine and beverage through history than they came with,” says Sarah Adams, Co-Founder of the Bad Bitches of Charleston. “It’s time to start recognizing the women that impact the culinary scene in Charleston.”

The event on April 26th will include an all-female cast of culinary powerhouses: Chelsey Conrad of Butcher & Bee, Michelle Weaver of Charleston Grill, Sarah Adams formerly of FIG and Co-Founder of Bad Bitches Charleston, Emily Hansford of Miller Union in Atlanta, Georgia, Kelly Kleisner of The Indigo Road Restaurant Group and Co-Founder of Bad Bitches Charleston, Emily Cookson of Butcher & Bee and Lindsey Raines of O-Ku.

Tickets are $65 and are available on Eventbrite.com. (http://www.eventbrite.com/e/bad-bitches-presents-the-1950s-tickets-16440046622). 100% of all ticket sales from the series will benefit the Bad Bitches Scholarship Fund, a scholarship that will support the education of women in the hospitality industry in Charleston. Specifically, to afford the opportunity to any female who impacts the hospitality community from farmers and cooks to sommeliers and mixologists.
