Bank of America recognized as one of Greenville Technical College’s Unsung Heroes

September 11, 2019

Bank of America and the Bank of America Charitable Foundation were recently recognized by Greenville Technical College as Unsung Heroes, joining the ranks of organizations and individuals honored over the past 22 years for making a difference at the college and in the community.

Bank of America has supported the college in countless ways for more than two decades. Their strategic investments have helped to remove barriers to economic success for students and their families. Donations totaling over $160,000 have made an impact in workforce development, economic mobility, Quick Jobs, advanced manufacturing, apprenticeships, and student scholarships.

Recently, Bank of America pledged support for the college’s Center for Culinary and Hospitality Innovation, expected to open in 2020. This gift will be recognized with naming of the Bank of America lobby at the facility, which will bring education and training for downtown Greenville’s culinary and hospitality jobs to an area that can readily benefit from these opportunities. Bank of America has also been a strong contributor to a student emergency need fund that last year assisted 101 students with emergency needs including food, housing, and transportation.
