Barefoot Acres Roadside Market Brings Local Products, Community Spirit to Fountain Inn

June 8, 2026

A roadside market rooted in community and a commitment to natural living has taken root at the entrance of Barefoot Acres farm in Fountain Inn, offering neighbors a convenient stop for fresh goods, handcrafted products, and a chance to support local small businesses.

Located at 181 Barefoot Acres Way, the Barefoot Acres Roadside Market serves as a hub for several small, local vendors offering a variety of all-natural products, including handmade soap, sourdough bread, tea blends, laundry soap, and natural bug spray, among other items. The farm itself stocks the market with fresh eggs, seasonal produce, and flowers when available.

Jody Prosser, who operates Barefoot Acres, said the idea behind the market was simple: create a place where the community could access wholesome, natural products while also giving local makers a venue to share their work.

“We wanted a place for our community to stop in and buy all natural products, support small businesses, and have access to fresh produce,” Prosser said. “We also wanted to provide a place for the local, small businesses to sell their products.”

The market operates on an honor system for payment, and Prosser emphasized the importance of that trust to the vendors who rely on it.

“Our market is home to several small local businesses that work incredibly hard to grow, make, and provide the products you enjoy,” Prosser said. “By paying for your purchases, you’re directly supporting local families and helping these businesses continue to thrive.”

Shoppers can pay using cash or Venmo at the market.
