Barnabas Horse Foundation hosts “Pony Up for Pickleball Classic” to raise funds for life-changing trauma services
April 22, 2026Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of energy, connection, and purpose as Barnabas Horse Foundation presents the Pony Up for Pickleball Classic at Litchfield Pickleball.
This high-spirited, two-day tournament will bring together more than 200 players, spectators, and community leaders for exciting competition—all in support of a mission that is quietly transforming lives across South Carolina.
But this is more than a tournament. It’s a movement.
Every serve, every volley, and every point played will help fund free, trauma-informed equine-assisted services for survivors of crime, veterans, and first responders—individuals who often carry invisible wounds and are searching for a path to healing.
At Barnabas Horse Foundation, healing doesn’t happen in an office—it happens in the presence of horses. These powerful, intuitive animals serve as a living biofeedback presence, helping individuals reconnect, regulate, and rediscover a sense of safety and control.
“Events like Pony Up for Pickleball are critical,” said Sue McKinney, Founder and President of Barnabas Horse Foundation. “They allow us to continue offering our services at no cost to those who need them most. Every sponsor, every player, every supporter becomes part of someone’s healing journey.”
