Barnes & Noble Midtown at Forest Acres to host Black Blue Bloods author, Christopher Emil Williams

February 8, 2016

Barnes & Noble Midtown at Forest Acres will host Christopher Emil Williams, author of Black Blue Bloods: Legacy of an African-American Plantation Owner, Saturday, February 13, at 12:00 pm.

With what began as an exploration into his own family history, Williams has written a book chronicling the prosperous life of the Saxon family. The book tells the story of Mack Saxon, and his wife Caroline, both born as slaves. A true rags to riches story in South Carolina, the former slaves and their family went on to own over 700 acres, with the Saxon plantation itself spanning approximately 575 acres. Through his book, Williams shares their success and the legacy that continued through their descendants.
