Bauknight Elected to Spartanburg County Foundation Board

SPARTANBURG, SC – December 31, 2013 – The Spartanburg County Foundation is pleased to announce the election of John E. Bauknight, IV to the Board of Trustees.  Mr. Bauknight’s term is for seven years.

Since graduating from Wofford College in 1989, Mr. Bauknight has been active in the establishment of several entrepreneurial ventures in the employment benefit, document shredding and recycling industries.  Mr. Bauknight currently serves as President of Longleaf Holdings USA, LLC, a real estate investment firm based in Spartanburg.

Bauknight is a member of The Episcopal Church of the Advent and is active in the Spartanburg community as a member of the Young Presidents Organization, the BB&T Local Advisory Board, Wofford College Investment Advisory Board, and the Spartanburg Community College Incubator Advisory Board.  He also serves on the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) President’s Advisory Board.  Previously, Bauknight served on the Charles Lea Center Foundation Board (2003-2010), Chairman (2010); Spartanburg Regional Fellows (2010);  Wofford College Terrier Club Board of Directors (2001-2003 and 2005-2009), Chairman (2008-2009); Wofford College Alumni Executive Council (2008-2009); Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (2002-2004) and Board of Governors (2006-2007); Spartanburg Regional Board of Governors (2005-2007); and the Upstate South Carolina Better Business Bureau Board of Directors (2001-2004).

Mr. Bauknight and his wife, Laura, reside in Spartanburg.  They have two children, Ellis and Chappell.
