BEHKO enters Columbia market with new Lexington County warehouse project

Charleston-based design-build firm partners with Magnus Development Partners on 57,750-square-foot industrial project inside Lexington County Industrial Park
Charleston-based design-build firm BEHKO is entering the Columbia industrial market. Magnus Development Partners has selected the company to lead construction and provide structural and MEP design for a new 57,750-square-foot warehouse in Lexington County.
The project occupies the final speculative site inside Lexington County Industrial Park, a park expected to total more than 2 million square feet once fully built out. Magnus is managing the architectural design, sitework, and utilities, while BEHKO leads construction of the building from the foundation and provides structural and MEP design, working alongside Magnus, the project architect, and other partners to coordinate design and construction. Sitework is already underway, with building construction set to begin next month.
The project marks the next step in a growing relationship between the two South Carolina-based companies and gives BEHKO its first foothold in the Midlands, an industrial market that has continued to draw investment as companies look for large, well-located distribution space along the I-20 and I-26 corridors.
