Belk Fall for Greenville board members and event partners today presented $39,550 to 12 nonprofit organizations from the local community and recognized the efforts of those organizations who committed substantial volunteer hours over the course of the three-day event. All funds donated came from the 2016 festival held last October.

Local charities receiving event proceeds from Belk Fall for Greenville included:

  • Greenville Chinese Cultural Association
  • Neighborhood Focus
  • Newcomers of Greater Greenville on behalf of YouthBASE
  • Public Education Partners
  • Red Shoe Society on behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas
  • Surgeons for Sight
  • Greenville in Harmony
  • Boy Scout Troop 260
  • Boy Scout Troop 266
  • Aloft Greenville Downtown on behalf of Let’em Live Upstate
  • Resurgent Capital Services on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upstate
  • Furman University: Heller Service Corps

“It was an honor for Greenville Technical College to support Fall for Greenville again this year as volunteer sponsor,” said Kelley Roark, Director of Programmatic PR and Customer Engagement Manager for Greenville Technical College. “The event is a chance for visitors to engage with our exceptional city, and we enjoyed the opportunity to bring their attention to our community’s two-year college. We’re also pleased to be part of a festival that gives back to local charities, thus benefitting the Upstate long after the event is over.”

Fall for Greenville has donated more than $500,000 to nonprofit organizations over the past 10 years.
