Berkeley County Delinquent Tax Sale Set for November 16

Berkeley County will hold its annual Delinquent Tax Sale on Monday, November 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the LowCountry Conference Center (Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites) at 406 Sigma Drive in Summerville. The Tax Sale will only be held in-person.
If an additional day is needed, the Tax Sale will continue Tuesday, November 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Mobile Home Sale will start after the Land Sale ends. *All tax sale money will be collected at the sale.*
REGISTRATION: Registration to participate in the Tax Sale opens October 29, 2026. Registration MUST be completed no later than 5 p.m. on November 9, 2026. Only registered bidders will be permitted into the Tax Sale. Registration will NOT be permitted on the day of the sale. Visit HERE to sign-up for in-person bidding.
PROPERTY LISTINGS: The Tax Sale listing of all properties will be available HERE and advertised in the Charleston Post and Courier on October 29, 2026. The listing will be in the name of the current owner and the defaulting taxpayer, defined by the South Carolina statutes as the owner of record on December 31 of the year preceding the taxable year.
The Mobile Homes listing will be available starting November 5, 2026.
PAYMENT OF TAXES PRIOR TO SALE: All real property and mobile homes with delinquent taxes are subject to sale. To avoid sale, all delinquent taxes, assessments, penalties, and costs must be received and processed by the County by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2026. Only cash, money order, cashier’s check, attorney’s trust/escrow account checks or credit/debit cards (with a .20 cents & 2.35% transaction fee) will be accepted for payment of taxes.
Individuals may make payments in one of the following ways:
- In-person (by 5 p.m. November 13, 2026) – at Berkeley County Delinquent Tax Office, located at 1003 Highway 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461
- Online – taxes.berkeleycountysc.gov (by 5:00 p.m. November 13, 2026)
- By mail – send to Berkeley County Tax Collector, P.O. Box 6122, Moncks Corner, SC 29461
- Fed-ex/overnight – send to Berkeley County Tax Collector, 1003 Highway 52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461 (Mailed payments must be received in the office by 5:00 p.m. November 13, 2026.)
**NO tax payments will be accepted the day of the Tax Sale.**
