Berkeley County hosting Community Development Block Grant Workshop
January 6, 2025Berkeley County is hosting a special Application Workshop on its Community Development Block Grant Program at 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, in the Assembly Room of the Berkeley County Administration Building, located at 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner.
A registration period for the workshop will open from Monday, December 30, 2024, through Monday, January 13, 2025.
Local nonprofits and other organizations interested in learning more about the CDBG Program and how to apply for funding are encouraged to register.
Attendance is mandatory for organizations wishing to apply for CDBG funds in Program Year 2025. Pre-registration is required for attendance and must be done HERE by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Berkeley County receives CDBG funds annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to fund activities that primarily benefit low-and moderate- income areas or persons in unincorporated Berkeley County. These funds are based on a formula for entitled cities and counties. Read more about the CDBG program HERE.
