Berkeley County Schools welcomes five new board members

The Berkeley County School District is pleased to welcome five new Board of Education members, who were elected on Tuesday. The new members, who will be officially sworn in at the regular Board meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, are:

• Michael Ramsey District 1
• Laura Kelly District 3
• Brian Adams District 5
• Kelly Spann, Jr. District 7
• Ann Conder District 9

These individuals join fellow Board members Mac McQuillin (District 2); Shannon Lee (District 5); Sally Wofford (District 6); and Frank Wright (District 8).

“I am pleased to welcome our new Board members to serve the students of Berkeley County Schools,” said Superintendent Brenda B. Blackburn. “Our district has amazing opportunities ahead and collectively, these talented, committed leaders will add to an already impressive roster of leaders. We are fortunate to have each on our team, and I very much look forward to working with them as we continue to move Berkeley forward.”
