Beth Frost returns as Chair of The Drive Golf Tournament benefiting Prisma Health Cancer Centers

January 14, 2020

Beth Frost has returned for a third year as chair of The Drive golf tournament, the signature fundraising event benefiting Prisma Health Cancer Centers. The 29th tournament, led by Prisma Health Midlands Foundation, will return to Cobblestone Park Golf Club in Blythewood, S.C. on Thursday, April 2, 2020. As chair, Frost will lead a committee of community volunteers and collaborate with the Prisma Health Midlands Foundation team.

Frost is a longtime volunteer and supporter of Prisma Health Midlands Foundation and Prisma Health Cancer Centers. She is a member of the Cancer Centers Board and has served on The Drive event committee before being named chair. She and her husband, Jamie, are members of executive leadership of The Cavalry, a young donors annual giving society at the Foundation.

“Beth is a dynamic leader, and we’re grateful she has returned to chair The Drive again this year,” said Kristin Hudson, event director, Cancer Centers, at Prisma Health Midlands Foundation. “Beth is committed to making an impact in our community, and she shows it through her servant leadership to our Foundation and the Cancer Centers.”

Prisma Health Midlands Foundation is celebrating 29 years of the golf tournament, benefiting Prisma Health Cancer Centers, one of the largest cancer programs in the Southeast. More than 3,000 patients are diagnosed and treated each year at the Cancer Centers. Thanks to hundreds of sponsors, golfers and supporters, more than $4.5 million has been raised through the tournament to fund innovative equipment, programs and services, benefiting cancer patients and their families in the Midlands of South Carolina. Frost is excited for the opportunity to drive tournament proceeds higher this year.

“It’s been an honor to help lead this event benefiting Prisma Health Cancer Centers for the last three years. This tournament has been a staple in the Midlands community and is making a huge impact on cancer care,” said Frost. “I’m encouraged every year to see the companies that continue to offer support and the new partners that join this effort. To everyone who has been affected by cancer, I encourage you to get involved, whether it’s becoming a sponsor, playing golf or volunteering. It all matters!”

On April 2, more than 200 golfers will play 18 holes in The Drive at Cobblestone Park Golf Club. The tournament will be captain’s choice with a shotgun start. Golfers will enjoy a networking lunch prior to teeing off and a power hour just after the tournament. Event details and sponsorship opportunities can be found at TheDriveColumbia.org.
