Bethany Thompson accomplishes path to U.S. citizenship

June 30, 2022

FinTrust Capital Advisors is pleased to announce that Bethany Thompson, CES™ Registered Client Service Administrator, has successfully passed all aspects of the 10-step naturalization process to become a U.S. Citizen. Bethany moved to America in 2003 when her father came to work for an Irish company as an engineer in Anderson, S.C.

When asked about becoming a dual citizen of the U.S. and the U.K., she shared that she wanted to be a citizen because this is now her home. Bethany went on to share that being an American citizen offers security because she can always call the U.S. home and participate by voting, where she has a say in Country and State leadership.

Allen Gillespie, Chief Investment Officer for FinTrust, said, “Bethany’s new citizenship exhibits one of FinTrust’s core values of growth. We strive to be a company where employees and clients can grow personally, professionally, and capital. It’s great to see Bethany living into one of our core values.”

Allen added, “Theodore Roosevelt’s in his famous “Citizenship in a Republic” speech pointed out that “the average citizen must be a good citizen if our republic is to succeed. Bethany certainly improves on the averages, so we are proud to call her our fellow citizen.”
