BJU Department of Engineering to host Robotics Open House

The Bob Jones University Department of Engineering will hold a Robotics Open House Saturday, Jan. 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Activity Center near Alumni Stadium on the BJU campus.

The event will feature demonstrations of Kezia, the award-winning robot from the 2016 Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition; Bruin-1, an autonomous taxi; and Bruin-2, BJU’s newest autonomous vehicle under development.

Each of the vehicles was designed and built by BJU students in the Department of Engineering and are products of the capstone multidisciplinary design experience in the degree program.

BJU’s Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with concentrations in mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering is accredited by the engineering accreditation commission of ABET.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available directly in front of the Activity Center, in the parking garage behind Rodeheaver Auditorium and on campus streets.
