Black Food Truck Festival kicks off this weekend

The Black Food Truck Festival returns this weekend with over forty-five food trucks and live musical performances celebrating Black businesses and culture with a cigar and hookah lounge, 21+ bar areas, Afro artisan marketplace, kids’ play zone, mobile bowling alley, lawn games, and more. Tickets are on sale online for the two-day festival on Apr. 22-23 at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson.

Step into the rhythm of the night at the newly added event this year the Rhythm and Booze Opening Soiree on Friday, April 21 from 8:00 p.m. – midnight at The Wonderer located at 1705 Meeting Street Rd, Charleston, SC 29405. Limited tickets are available for this unforgettable night of live music and a DJ, providing the perfect soundtrack for a night of dancing under the stars. Indulge in our delectable small bites, perfectly paired with crafted cocktails that will leave you wanting more. Featuring DJ Shae Balboa upstairs and live music from The Fellas downstairs, providing classic tunes of R&B and Hip Hop, Afrobeats, and more.

VIP tickets are also on sale for $125 or $225 for a two-day ticket. VIP extras include a swag bag, access to the VIP container bar, access to the VIP exclusive pavilion area that includes complimentary drinks, and no wait times at the festival entrance.

This will be a weekend of nonstop food, music and fun for the entire family. Festival times are 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. for general admission and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for VIP. The Exchange Park Fairgrounds is located at 9850 Highway 78 in Ladson, S.C. Admission is $30, or purchase a two-day ticket for $55. All sales are final. No refunds. Tickets do not include food. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free. No pets allowed. Parking is free.
