Black Food Truck Festival presents Battle of the Bands

Tickets are on sale now for Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend at The Music Farm 

The Black Food Truck Festival presents The Battle of the Bands at The Music Farm, located at 32 Ann Street, Charleston, SC. Come sing, dance, and party to the live sounds of 90’s, Hip Hop and R&B, Funk & Soul, and Pop. Tickets are on sale now for the Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend event on Sunday, January 15.

The spring festival drew 15,000 people from all around the country. It generated more than $1 million for Black-owned businesses in the Charleston region. The most recent festival in the fall grew its Instagram platform from 4400 followers to 16.4K and counting, due to an array of national press and renowned foodie influencers.

Festival founder Marcus Hammond said the semi-annual Black Food Truck Festival has a greater mission of making an economic and social impact on the community by showcasing and investing in Black-owned businesses. “We are hosting this event to celebrate the sounds of black culture and as always, to create an economic impact in our community, bringing the community together. People should want to come to this event to celebrate, dance and support local, regional and independent talent.”

The headliners for Sunday night include Charleston’s very own Black Diamond Band, Live in the Flesh Experience from Florence, SC, and The Red Sample Band out of Atlanta, GA. Charleston City Paper’s DJ of the year in 2019, DJ SCrib will be on the 1’s & 2’s and the evening will be hosted by La’Faye.
