Black Forest Container Systems Announces Relocation, Expansion in Greenville, SC

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC – June 16, 2010 – The South Carolina Departmentof Commerce, the Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) andGreenville-based Black Forest Container Systems LLC announces itsrelocation and expansion to 1186 Pendleton Street in the City ofGreenville, South Carolina. As part of the organization’s strategicgrowth initiatives in North America, the company plans to add at least10 jobs over the next three years. New capital investment in theexpanded operation is estimated at $1.5 million.

Black Forest Container Systems established operations in GreenvilleCounty in 2000.   As a result of the recent relocation, the company nowoperates out of the newly renovated, 10,000-square-foot Pendleton Streetfacility. With particular expertise in the pharmaceutical chemical,agricultural, biotech and food industries, the company provideshigh-quality, reusable container systems, on a lease of for sale basis.  These systems provide optimum solutions for storing, processing andtransporting sensitive or hazardous liquid materials and viscousproduct.

According to company founders Jeff Balck and Tom Leftwich, BlackForest Container Systems chose to further its commitment to Greenvilleas a result of a combination of factors, including its talentedworkforce, its accessibility to emerging markets, reasonable costs forconducting business, a temperate climate and high quality of life.

This effort will markedly improve our new manufacturing process inGreenville County, said Jeff Balck, CEO for Black Forest ContainerSystems.
