Black River United Way to host Parenting in the Park seminar in September
July 31, 2026Parents, caregivers, neighbors, and caring adults are invited to attend Parenting in the Park, a free family seminar designed to offer encouragement, connection, and practical parenting tools in a welcoming community setting.
The event will take place on September 17 from 12 noon to 2 PM at East Bay Park, Bobby Alford Pavilion. Participants will enjoy lunch while learning positive parenting strategies for everyday family life, tools to help children understand and express emotions, and ways to support confidence, communication, and coping skills.
Parenting in the Park is open to parents, caregivers, neighbors, and caring adults who want to strengthen families and build supportive connections with others in the community. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with helpful community resources.
As a special thank-you, participants are encouraged to bring a parent, neighbor, or friend from another household. The first five parent pairs who arrive together will each receive a $25 gift card at the end of the seminar.
Registration is requested by September 7, and space is limited. To register, visit https://forms.gle/as6PL5mVwxfWgsgSA. For more information, email [email protected].
