Blain joins Gaffney Lewis & Edwards as an associate

COLUMBIA, SC August 29, 2012 –  Robert C. Blain, a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, has joined the South Carolina law firm of Gaffney Lewis & Edwards as an associate.

Blain, who grew up in Mount Pleasant, SC, works in the firm’s Isle of Palms office. His practice focuses on premises liability defense, family law and employment law.

He graduated in 2011 from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. He also served as editor-in-chief of the South Carolina Journal of International Law & Business, as a volunteer law clerk and as a legal writing teaching assistant while in law school.

Fluent in Spanish, Blain holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Spanish from Duke University. He studied for a year in Spain and has taught English in Argentina.
