Blockhouse’s mouth-watering meals, friendly service, consistent quality, and local appeal has kept customers coming back for close to four decades. Widely known for its seafood and steaks, Blockhouse prides itself on simplicity, community, and making memories.
Owner and founder, Charlie McMullen worked in wholesale related food services for several years before he felt compelled to try his hand in the restaurant industry. Even with little to no restaurant experience, Blockhouse was born. His goal was to create a place for his community with an emphasis on good food and good times, and nearly 40 years later, many would agree that he was successful.
“We can’t believe it has been 39 years. We have seen a lot of change over the years but one thing has stayed the same, our dedication to our customers in providing the best food and service in Greenville has never changed! Although COVID certainly was not a welcome visitor, we used that time to give the interior a facelift and are happy that our loyal customers are back enjoying each other and the comfort food and drinks at the Blockhouse! We look forward to celebrating our 40th Anniversary in 2021!” said Charlie McMullen, Blockhouse Founder.
