Blythewood Chamber Announces 2015 Glow Ball Golf Tournament

BLYTHEWOOD, SC – The Greater Blythewood Chamber of Commerce will be lighting up Cobblestone Park Golf Club in Blythewood for its third annual Glow Ball Golf Tournament on Friday, May 29, at with a shotgun start at 7:30 PM. As night falls, teams of two will play nine holes with glow-in-the-dark balls and with volunteers and flashlights guiding the way through the course.

Registration and check-in starts at 6:00 PM, with a hamburger and hotdog cookout and putting contest. Two-person teams are $100; single players are $60 and will be paired into teams at registration. Instead of mulligans, golfers can purchase an extra glow ball or grenade, which allows them to pick up and throw their ball. Door prizes and prizes for teams finishing first, second, and third will be awarded.

“Playing golf at Cobblestone is always a pleasure, but playing at night with glow balls puts a unique spin on our annual golf tournament,” says Chamber chair Wendy Broderick. “We’re looking forward to everyone coming out and having an enjoyable evening on one of Blythewood’s best golf courses.”

Hole sponsorships are also available for $100 each. All proceeds benefit Chamber programs and activities throughout the year.

The Greater Blythewood Chamber of Commerce was formally organized in July 2008 to serve as the voice of business in the Blythewood Community. The organization began as the Blythewood Business Coalition, which was founded as a Neighborhood Watch program in 1999.
