Super Lawyers selects attorneys through a patented multiphase selection process, which includes a combination of peer nominations, evaluations, and independent research. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis, with each candidate evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.

Each year, South Carolina Super Lawyers list recognizes no more than five percent of attorneys in the state. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in South Carolina are named to its Rising Stars list.
