Board promotes Clamp to assistant principal of Lake Murray Elementary

LEXINGTON, SC — During the July 19, 2016 regular monthly meeting of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees, the board approved the promotion of Leisa F. Clamp to assistant principal at Lake Murray Elementary.

Clamp will transition from her role as literacy and math instructional coach at Oak Grove Elementary, where she has worked since 2014.

While at OGES, Clamp collaborated with teachers to plan instruction, led grade-level curriculum meetings, served on the school literacy leadership team, and led professional development in literacy and math.

Prior to joining Lexington District One, Clamp worked as a second-grade teacher, reading interventionist and lead interventionist at Barnwell Primary School in Barnwell, South Carolina.

Clamp became assistant principal at Redcliffe Elementary School in Aiken, South Carolina, in 2010. In 2011, she was promoted to principal of Barnwell Primary School.

Clamp received her Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Clemson University and a Master of Science in educational administration from the University of Scranton.

Clamp is certified in the areas of elementary principal, elementary supervisor, elementary educator, early childhood educator, and gifted and talented educator.
