Boiler Manufacturer NEM Presents New U.S. Office at POWER-GEN International
December 12, 2010GREENVILLE, SC – December 8, 2010 – NEM, a world leader in the supply of industrial boilers and heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), recently opened a full-service office in Greenville, SC. In addition to new equipment, NEM USA provides maintenance and engineering after market services and consulting to the North American Clients.
NEM USA will present itself to the energy world at POWER-GEN International 2010, the biggest power event of the United States, held from December 14 to 16.
NEM USA sees many business opportunities in the ever increasing North-American electricity demand and especially with the current operational cycling of base-load designed boilers. NEM can assist clients with end of life studies and life extension programs to help reduce the risk of cycling. When they are ready for a new boiler, NEM is able to assist them with our newly designed Drum Plus™ boiler that is specifically designed to cycle and closely follow the gas turbine start up curve.
NEM USA also services any OEM boiler for existing power plants that need upgrades, modifications, maintenance or redesigns for new technology. In the past, NEM, owner of Vogt/NEM, erected more than sixty HRSGs for projects in the U.S., such as Red Hawk, Arizona, Santee Cooper, South-Carolina and Hines II in Florida.
In addition to new-built HRSGs and other types of boilers, NEM is using its wide range of expertise and the experience available within all NEM’s divisions to help US clients reduce risks, maximize performance and lower cost.
NEM, established in 1929, is a leading supplier of HRSGs with units installed on hundreds of power plants worldwide. NEM also supplies direct-fired and CO boilers, as well as exhaust gas dampers and diverters and steam related equipment for solar power plants. The company offers a range of engineering and maintenance services and special products such as training simulators.
