Bon Secours Medical Group adds two specialty physicians

GREENVILLE, SC – Bon Secours Medical Group is pleased to announce the addition of two specialists to its local physician network:
Upstate Cardiology welcomes James A. Merriam, MD to its medical staff. Dr. Merriam received his doctor of medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston) where he also completed an internship and his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Merriam is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He holds memberships in several professional societies including the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Society of General Internal Medicine and the American College of Cardiology.

Dylan J. Watson, MD has joined Piedmont Orthopaedic Associates. He is one of the select few orthopaedic surgeons in the Upstate performing the anterior approach for total hip replacement (THA), a tissue-sparing alternative to traditional hip replacement surgery that provides the potential for less pain, faster recovery and increased mobility.
Dr. Watson earned his doctor of medicine from University of New Mexico School of Medicine (Albuquerque). He completed his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Greenville Health System (S.C.) and a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the University of Louisville (Ky.). Dr. Watson is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi.
