Bon Secours welcomes 2023 Project SEARCH class

Class is back in session! Bon Secours welcomed its 2023 Project SEARCH class today. The new interns’ arrival mark the start of our 6^th year hosting the program.

Together with the Greenville County School District and South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation, the Project SEARCH program at Bon Secours St. Francis provides hands-on training and school-required academics for students with disabilities. Bon Secours Market President Matt Caldwell and Vice President of Mission, Alex Garvey, stopped in to introduce themselves.

The interns will begin their year with classroom instruction and training before swapping out their street clothes for green scrubs and ID badges when they begin their internship rotations within the hospital setting. Each intern will spend time in 3 different departments before the year ends. This gives them the opportunity for real life work experience in hopes of preparing them for and helping them find fulfilling and productive jobs after high school.
