Expansion to bring more than $11 million in new investment

Bondex, Inc., a globally-recognized manufacturer of thermally-bonded nonwoven substrates, is expanding its manufacturing operations in Edgefield County, South Carolina. The project is expected to bring $11.5 million in new investment and lead to the creation of 17 new jobs.

Founded in 1996, Bondex, Inc. produces thermally-bonded nonwoven substrates for the filtration, medical and electrical industries. Additionally, utilizing state-of-the-art horizontal lamination technology, along with precision vertical coating towers, Bondex offers a wide range of high-quality, flexible laminate insulation material servicing the electrical market.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded Edgefield County a Set-Aside grant of $100,000 to assist with the costs of building construction.
