Brad Pochard Named Director of Admissions at Furman University

GREENVILLE, SC – September 22, 2008 – Brad Pochard, a 2001 Wittenberg University graduate who has spent the past seven years working in the university’s admissions office, has been named Director of Admissions at Furman University.

Pochard will be responsible for all aspects of Furman’s admissions efforts, including class selection and recruitment, budget and market planning, publications, personnel issues, and admissions policy and procedures. He will begin his new duties Oct. 1.

Pochard joined Wittenberg as an admissions counselor after graduating from the university in 2001. He became Assistant Director of Admissions in 2003 and Director of Admissions in 2006.

At Wittenberg, he served on the University Enrollment Planning Committee that focused on enrollment strategies and retention initiatives, and was co-chair of the Admission Financial Aid Committee. He also led the Office of Admission in a university-wide branding campaign and was a member of the First Year Experience Committee.

Pochard has an M.B.A. degree from the University of Phoenix, and is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
