Brewlab Charleston hosts SEALKIDS for Support a Military Child

May 10, 2022

Brewlab Charleston hosts its 2nd Annual SEALKIDS Fundraiser, for Support a Military Child Month.

Brewlab Charleston (Charleston), Sunday, May 15th, 2022, 1-4 pm. Brewlab Charleston is a proud supporter of SEALKIDS, a nonprofit that supports children of military personnel. Each April, Brewlab holds the month-long fundraiser and concludes with an event party, this year taking place Sunday, May 15th, 1-4 pm.

“I knew when I opened the brewery that supporting an organization that benefited our veterans and active service members was a top priority for me,” said Joe Evans, owner, and operator of Brewlab Charleston. “SEALKIDS spoke to me because I have three children of my own and I know how difficult it can be for parents especially those who are still on active duty.”

SEALKIDS also partners with various other restaurant groups in Charleston and nationally.

“The main goal is to not only raise money for the organization but to bring awareness that programs like these exist,” said Tarah Gee, General Manager of Brewlab Charleston. “Imagine if programs like these existed a hundred years ago. It’s just really great to be a part of something so special and with a lasting impact.”

You can attend the finale party on Sunday, May 15th, 1-4 pm at Brewlab Charleston located at 2200 Heriot Street, on the corner of Rutledge and Heriot in downtown Charleston. There will be additional raffles and food/drink specials.

About SEALKIDS

SEALKIDS, through its programs, began supporting the children of Naval Special Warfare—everyday kids living in extraordinary circumstances. However, SEALKIDS recently expand to include all branches of the military. This encompassing approach of academic testing, tutoring, therapy, advocacy, and enrichment fosters the success and well-being of the child, critically reducing family stresses and ultimately keeping today’s military in the fight.

Even the bravest individuals need support, and we are here for their children. SEALKIDS has a deep and personal understanding of life in the military community and can help their children overcome academic struggles. Our proven programs lead to success in school, which translates to success in life.
