BridgeWay Station to Host First-Ever Golden Day Celebration

Golden retriever fans and dog lovers across the Golden Strip are invited to the first-ever Golden Day, a free, dog-friendly afternoon event at BridgeWay Station in Simpsonville featuring live entertainment, nonprofit spotlights, and a full slate of activities for people and pups alike.

The event runs from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 23 at 1000 Via Corso Ave and will also be available via livestream for those who cannot attend in person.

The afternoon kicks off at 2 p.m., with Battle Buddies handlers taking the stage at 2:30 p.m. for an introduction and meet-and-greet. At 3 p.m., the Pup Cup Challenge, powered by Generator Supercenter of Greenville, invites spectators to cheer on competing dogs as they race to finish their pup cups. Defenders for Children will be introduced at 3:45 p.m., followed by a K9 demo featuring Scooby.

The Best Trick Contest, presented by The Madison GVL Tiny Home, takes the stage at 4:30 p.m. Dog owners can show off their pup’s best trick for a chance to win a one-night stay at The Madison GVL Tiny Home.

The event supports two local nonprofits, Battle Buddies SC and Defenders for Children.
