Bridging the Gap Advocacy Offers Affordable, Enriching Summer Camp for Laurens County Kids

June 9, 2025

Bridging the Gap Advocacy is once again helping families in Laurens County make the most of summer with its 2025 Summer Camp, running June 9 through July 31. Designed for students from 4K through 8th grade, the camp blends academic support with fun enrichment activities and weekly field trips—at an affordable cost that reflects the organization’s commitment to accessibility and community support.

Camp will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 101 Park Place in Laurens. The cost is $75 per week per child, with a one-time $20 registration fee per child. Discounts are available for families with two or more children in the same household, and scholarships are offered based on need. Onsite registration is available from 3:30–6:00 p.m. or anytime online at bridgingthegapadvocacy.org.

Each day includes breakfast and lunch, plus academic reinforcement in reading, writing, and math led by highly-qualified retired educators. Campers will also enjoy enrichment classes such as Introduction to Public Speaking, Introduction to Piano, and Introduction to Agriculture.

In addition to the engaging classroom sessions, kids can look forward to recreational activities and exciting weekly field trips.
