Broad Street United Methodist Church Gears Up for 27th Annual Youth Auction and Dinner

Yes, it’s a youth auction. No, they are not auctioning off the youth (but it has been considered at times).
Broad Street United Methodist Church’s 27th Annual Youth Auction and Dinner will be held in the church’s Cunningham Center on Saturday, March 4. All proceeds will go directly to youth mission projects, events, and retreats.
In advance of this much anticipated annual event in Clinton, the Cunningham Center is filling up with some great items for the silent and live auction.
Are you in the Spring-cleaning mode?
The youth are accepting gently used and new items to use in their silent auction. If you have items to donate, you can drop them at the church during office hours or contact the church at 864-833-0177 to let them know you have items for pick up. If you are a business owner and would like to donate items or a service to have your business recognized at the event, please let the church know.
Business owners can also help share the news by posting a flyer in their storefront.
Doors open at 5:00 pm and the bidding on silent auction items starts immediately. Dinner is served at 6:00 pm and the menu includes BBQ pork, baked beans, cole slaw, bread, tea, and dessert. The silent auction will close at 6:30 p.m. and the open auction will then begin. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds will go directly to youth mission projects, events, and retreats.
The silent auction will include a wide array of items including, furniture, appliances, bedding, lamps, housewares, holiday items, toys/games, camping gear, artwork, and books, just to name a few. In addition, baked goods, gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates, and services such as haircuts, dental services, oil changes, and sports lessons will be available.
The live auction amps things up a little and even if you don’t bid on items it’s fun to watch. Services such as surveying, legal services, landscaping, custom artwork, florist services, and gravel delivery as well as experiences such as Peace Center tickets, rounds of golf, and gym memberships will be up for bidding. Items such as jewelry, food services, and local restaurant gift card packages will also be available.
