Building Industry Charitable Foundation to donate $25,000 to Home Works of America

The Building Industry Charitable Foundation (BICF) will make a donation of $25,000 to the Home Works of America “Rebuilding Together” Flood Rebuild Effort. “Rebuilding Together” a unique rebuilding effort hosted by Home Works of America and the St. Bernard Project will be working to rebuild and repair more than ten homes damaged during the October flood.

The community-wide rebuild and repair project will take place December 28-30, 2015.  More than 400 volunteers are needed for this rebuild and repair effort in the Midlands. To volunteer: www.homeworksofamerica.org.

Funding for the Charitable Foundation Flood Relief Fund has been provided by members of the home building industry statewide and include significant contributions from NAHB Home Building Industry Disaster Relief Fund, 84 Lumber, Ameris Bank, Builders Mutual Insurance Company, Essex Homes, Fortress Builders, Great Southern Homes, Mungo Homes, Lake Carolina Development, Saluda River Club, Harvey & Vallini, LLC, Russell & Jeffcoat Real Estate, Hanson Law Firm, LandTec Inc. of SC, North Carolina Home Builders Association, Southern Community Services, Blair Catoe Pickren Casterline, LLC, Better Homes & Gardens-Tommy Stevenson, Coldwell Banker Caine, Executive Construction, LLC, Gabriel Builders, Galloway Family Homes, Grace Outdoor, Homeowners Mortgage, Resource Realty, Ron Roe, Mike Satterfield and Hal Von Nessen.

The Building Industry Charitable Foundation, is a South Carolina nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization located at 625 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC. As a result of the most recent flood disaster, the BIA Charitable Foundation is receiving donations to be distributed to charities/organizations, throughout the state, to help those most in most need of assistance. Thus far, the Building Industry Foundation has donated $45,000 including the donation to Home Works of America as well as donations to the Flood Relief Fund for the United Way of Sumter Clarendon and Lee Counties and Hope Force International.

The Building Industry Charitable Foundation is affiliated with the Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina Inc., a trade association of over 800+ building industry professionals from Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry, Richland and Sumter counties.
