Burnette Shutt & McDaniel partners included in new Super Lawyers edition

M. Malissa Burnette and Janet E. Rhodes, employment lawyers and partners at Burnette Shutt & McDaniel, are listed in the just-released 2020 edition of “Super Lawyers.”

This marks the 13th consecutive year Burnette has been listed in the practice area of employment litigation, plaintiffs. Rhodes, listed in the practice area of employment and labor law, is making her debut in “Super Lawyers.” She was included five times in “Rising Stars,” a “Super Lawyers” companion piece recognizing attorneys with less than 10 years’ experience or under the age of 40.

Selection in the national publication comes after a stringent review process that includes peer evaluation and independent research. “Super Lawyers” selects only about 5 percent of the attorneys nominated for inclusion in the guide.

Janet Rhodes

Burnette, a founding partner of Burnette Shutt & McDaniel, is a South Carolina Supreme Court Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law. A skilled litigator, she represents clients in often-complicated cases involving civil and constitutional rights, sexual harassment, discrimination, and more.
