Burnette, Tighe highlighted in 2013 edition of South Carolina Super Lawyers

COLUMBIA, SC – April 24, 2013 – Michael W. Tighe and M. Malissa Burnette of Callison Tighe & Robinson are being recognized in the 2013 Edition of South Carolina Super Lawyers.
Super Lawyers rates outstanding attorneys across more than 70 practice areas. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
Tighe was honored in the practice area of real estate, while Burnette was highlighted for her work in plaintiff employment litigation.
The firm’s managing member, Tighe represents title insurers, lenders and major developers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of South Carolina and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Tighe’s practice areas also include general litigation, commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He’s a certified mediator and arbitrator.
Burnette, a certified specialist in employment and labor law since 1993, also is a certified federal court mediator. She’s co-author and editor of Labor and Employment Law for South Carolina Lawyers, and she’s presented more than 50 continuing legal education seminars.
Burnette holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of South Carolina and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law.
In addition to employment and labor law, Burnette’s practice areas include alternative dispute resolution and domestic relations.
