Calling All Actors: Audition for “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do” at Laurens County Community Theatre!

Are you ready to hit the stage and showcase your talent? The Laurens County Community Theatre (LCCT) is thrilled to announce auditions for its upcoming summer production, “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do.” If you’ve got a passion for performance and a love for musical theatre, this is your chance to shine!
Auditions will be held on Sunday, March 24th, from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, and Tuesday, March 26th, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at Clinton High School. LCCT invites individuals aged 15 and up to come and try out for this campy, fun-filled production, based on the timeless songs of Neil Sedaka. From the nostalgic melodies of “Solitaire” to the upbeat rhythms of “Where the Boys Are,” this show promises to be a crowd-pleaser.
The LCCT is seeking to cast three men and three women for various roles in the production. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a newcomer to the stage, LCCT encourages you to audition. Prepare a vocal selection with tracks (Bluetooth device) or bring an accompanist to accompany your performance. Additionally, if you’re up for it, you can also showcase your acting chops with a one-minute monologue (optional).
As part of the audition process, please bring a list of any potential scheduling conflicts you may have for rehearsals leading up to the performance dates. “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do” is scheduled to run on June 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, so mark your calendars and be prepared to commit to this exciting journey!
