Calling All Entrepreneurs

September 5, 2008

COLUMBIA, SC – September 5, 2008 –  Are you ready to start your business? FastTracSC, which helps foster the creation of new sustainable businesses through training programs, is offering FastTrac® NewVenture™ classes starting September 25 at Midlands Technical College Northeast Campus.

FastTrac® NewVenture™ is ground zero for anyone interested in starting a business. An education program created by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, NewVenture™ is designed to help you evaluate and perfect your business concept. Taught by seasoned entrepreneurs in your community, FastTrac® is a hands-on program that uses your idea as a case study, giving you an opportunity to workshop your venture in a safe and supportive environment. FastTrac® NewVenture™ is a nine-module, 31.5 hour program.

Through FastTrac® NewVenture™, participants will discover whether the life of an entrepreneur is right for them. It takes a three-dimensional look at their concept as well as study issues such as: What additional opportunities exist for entrepreneurs? How can I market my new business? How do I price my products and services? How do I begin developing a budget?

FastTrac® NewVenture™ will be held every Thursday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., September 25, 2008 – December 4, 2008, at Midlands Technical College Northeast Campus. The cost for the course is $195. Interested entrepreneurs may sign up for the program by visiting www.FastTracSC.org or calling Tom Ledbetter at (803) 691-3885 for more information.
