April 13, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – Here’s a rare opportunity to get top talent working on the communications strategies that nonprofits need to tell their story and further their mission — pro bono.

University of South Carolina student volunteers and professional mentors will donate their time and talent to create strategic communications – from logos and identities to advertising, posters, brochures, public relations and web strategies.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2015 CreateAthon@USC, set for Nov. 6-7. The schedule has moved up this year, and interested nonprofits must apply by May 15. Nonprofits will be notified of acceptance in early June and strategic planning begins immediately. To apply, see: http://createathonusc.org/app_nonprofit.html

This will be the third year for CreateAthon @USC. In 2014, student and professional volunteers generated more than $170,000 worth of advertising and marketing communications work for nonprofits. Three CreateAthon teams participating won Silvery ADDY Awards in the Integrated Campaigns category.

CreateAthon@USC is part of the national CreateAthon network of professionals and students in the communication arts who put their creative talents to work for social good.
