Callison Tighe and Robinson's McVey Becomes Richland Bar President

COLUMBIA, SC – January 14, 2013 – Ian McVey, a member of Callison Tighe & Robinson, has been elected president of the almost-2,000 member Richland County Bar.

McVey has served on the Bar’s executive committee for a number of years and is the former chair of the Young Lawyers Division. He was sworn in as president on Dec. 13.

McVey’s practice areas at Callison Tighe include commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, foreclosure, general civil litigation, real estate litigation, and title insurance litigation. He has lectured on subjects related to residential and commercial foreclosure as well as workouts of non-performing loans.

McVey has lived in Columbia since shortly after graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of the South and also studied at St. John’s College, Oxford University.
