Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board launches STAY/PLAYcation Campaign

March 16, 2020

The Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board is launching a spring and summer STAY/PLAYcation campaign. Since South Carolina is drivable state, it is now more important than ever to promote the outdoor opportunities in the Capital City/Lake Murray Country region.

“Our region is all about the great outdoors! Lake Murray is the place to get outside and unwind. This is the second year our tourism board has marketed a special campaign to make locals aware of all this region offers through our great outdoors and more. This is a time to be cautious and take care of our families but it is also a good time to enjoy the outdoor products in our region, stated Miriam Atria, President/CEO.

Some suggested outdoor adventures include renting a boat to explore Lake Murray, zip lining at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, biking at Saluda Shoals Park, hiking Congaree National Parkbooking a tee time at one of our many golf courses, canoeing the river with Palmetto Outdoors, meandering through the vineyards at Enoree River Winery and, of course, fishing at Dreher Island and Sesqui State Park. And, be sure to grab a bite to eat or drink at our many restaurants with outdoor patios in the region.
