Carolyn Ramsay, Jewelry Designer, Columbia Regional Visitors Center – January Artist of the Month

COLUMBIA, SC – January 14, 2008 – With a background in the arts, it is no wonder Carolyn Ramsay would become a jewelry designer and glass bead artist.
She grew up in the small town of Denmark, SC, where she admits there was little opportunity for exposure to the arts. But after discovering her passion in college, Ramsay spent over 35 years teaching art to children as a teacher in several elementary schools. It wasn’t until she retired that Ramsay began making unique glass beads and jewelry from her backyard studio.
