Carter Goble Lee Awarded North Carolina Jail Project

COLUMBIA, SC & Charlotte, NC – January 7, 2009 – Carter Goble Lee, headquartered in Columbia, SC, has been selected to develop an architectural program and provide design review services for a new Mecklenburg County Jail in Charlotte, NC.
The proposed location for the new jail will be on a site adjacent to the County’s Jail North facility. The estimated construction budget is $293 million dollars and the facility is projected to include an initial capacity of approximately 1,700 beds.
