Cathy Hendrick to Speak at Palmetto Center for Women’s Trinity Focus Group Luncheon, September 11, 2014

COLUMBIA, SC –  Cathy Hendrick, widow of John Hendrick, former President of Hendrick Motorsports, will speak at Palmetto Center for Women’s (PCW) Trinity Focus luncheon on September 11, 2014 at the Capital City Club at noon.

Hendrick’s inspirational message will be “Faith in the Midst of Tragedy: The Hendricks Motorsports Plane Crash.” She lost her husband and two children, Jennifer and Kimberly, in a plane crash in 2004 in Martinsville, Va. Hendricks has another daughter, Alesha, a son-in-law, Mike Gainy, and two grandchildren, Joseph and Jocelyn, who reside in Charlotte, N.C.

Lisa Ann Hammond, a Christian recording artist and songwriter, will also serve as a special guest at September’s luncheon. Hammond has Tourette’s Syndrome but is able to sing without showing signs of her affliction. She travels and sings throughout the Eastern U.S. and recently recorded her 6th album. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and now resides in Myrtle Beach.

PCW’s Trinity Focus is held the second Thursday of the month at noon at the Capital City Club. Each month the all-women, faith-based program includes a dynamic speakers with an inspirational message, as well as special time for fellowship and encouragement.
