CBRE Greenville Talent Grows Through New Hires and Promotions

GREENVILLE, SC – CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate and investment firm, today announced that Tripp Sellers and Joe Cummings have joined the brokerage services team in Greenville, South Carolina. Sellers is returning to CBRE as a vice president in the investment properties team and Cummings will join the office services team as an associate.
Sellers, a CCIM with more than 22 years of experience in commercial real estate, originally worked for the firm from 2001 until 2006. He spent the past seven years at TIC Properties as a vice president of marketing and leasing, where he was responsible for all office, industrial and retail leasing within the company’s portfolio, and built a leasing platform from the ground up for one of the largest managers of tenant in common properties in the country. Sellers also led the development of marketing strategies and standards for more than 23 markets around the country, and maintained oversight of more than 50 third-party brokers. During his tenure at TIC Properties, Sellers managed more than 500 transactions totaling in excess of $360 million in value.
Cummings begins his career with CBRE having spent time with Carolina Brigade Lacrosse, where he was responsible for field operations and skill development. Prior to that he was with State Farm Insurance in Greenville, selling property and casualty insurance. In 2012 and 2013, Cummings worked with the International Foundation Internship in Washington, DC, where he was part of a six-person team responsible for the design, development and implementation of the National Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values.

CBRE Greenville has enjoyed healthy growth since its transition to becoming a wholly owned office. A total of nine hires and promotions have occurred since the beginning of 2014. Jennifer Boland, Sarah Jones, and Nichole Desko joined brokerage services as client service specialists, Kayla Hitchcock joined the property management team at Liberty Square, Trey Pennington was promoted to first vice president in the industrial services team, Ryan Clark and Shelby Dodson were promoted to senior associate in the office services team and Brian Dillard was promoted to associate in the investment properties team.
