CCRA Names Peggy Gainey REALTOR® of the Year

COLUMBIA, SC – February 28, 2013 – Peggy Gainey, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Advantage Group, was recently named 2012 REALTOR® of the Year by the Central Carolina REALTORS® Association (CCRA). She was nominated and selected by her peers in recognition of her outstanding service to the Association, community, and real estate industry.

The REALTOR® of the Year award is the highest award bestowed upon a member of the Association. At the end of each calendar year, a committee comprised of former REALTOR® of the Year recipients selects the next honoree from nominations submitted by general membership.

A South Carolina resident since 1975 and real estate professional since 1978, Peggy began her career at Tom Jenkins Realty and later served as Vice President of Charter REALTORS® before moving to RE/MAX. In 1985, she opened her own brokerage, RE/MAX Advantage Group, where she remains today. She holds three advanced designations: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI).

In addition to years of committee service at the local and state level, Peggy served as President of the CCRA Board of Directors in 2005 and is currently fulfilling a two-year term as a Director. She has also served as a Director for the South Carolina and National Associations of REALTORS®.
