April 13, 2026The clock is ticking, and the energy in Georgetown County is electric. Palmetto Giving Day 2026—the highly anticipated 36-hour online giving challenge—is officially here, uniting donors, local businesses, and nonprofits in a shared mission to strengthen the place we call home.
This powerful movement is proudly organized by the Frances P. Bunnelle Foundation, whose commitment to improving the quality of life for Georgetown County residents has made this decade of giving possible.
A Community Fiesta on the Lawn
What better way to celebrate “Giving Day” than with a Cinco de Mayo flair? They are inviting the entire community to a festive gathering to honor the “boots on the ground” who make Georgetown County thrive.

Everyone is welcome! They want to see the lawn filled with the people who make our nonprofits run: staff, board members, volunteers, clients, friends, and families. Whether you’ve been a donor for ten years or are just looking to learn more about our local causes, this fiesta is for you. The more folks we have celebrating, the better!
36 Hours to Make an Impact
While we celebrate on the lawn, the digital mission continues. From May 5–6, the Palmetto Giving Day website serves as the hub for your generosity.
